1. The deal

Shreekd is an iOS app that helps you prank your friends by recording their reaction to a jumpscare hidden inside a nose-controlled maze game. By downloading or using Shreekd you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

These terms form a contract between you and Shreekd (“we,” “us,” “our”).

2. Who can use Shreekd

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some countries).
• The app is rated 12+ on the App Store — mild horror / jumpscares.
• If you're under the age of majority in your country, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. What you promise us

When you use Shreekd, you agree that:

• You'll only prank people who are cool with it. This is the big one. Don't prank people with heart conditions, severe anxiety, photosensitive epilepsy, or anyone who hasn't consented to being recorded.
• You'll tell them afterwards. A prank that never ends is called harassment. Show them the video. Laugh together.
• You'll get permission before sharing. Before you post a reaction video anywhere — TikTok, Instagram, your group chat, wherever — ask the person in it first. That's the rule, and often also the law.
• You'll follow local law. Some places require all-party consent to record audio/video. It's your responsibility to know what applies to you.
• You won't do anything shitty. No hate content. No targeting minors who haven't consented. No recording people in private places (bathrooms, bedrooms, locker rooms, etc.). No using the app for anything illegal.

4. What we promise you

• We keep your reaction videos on your device — we don't upload them.
• We ship updates, fix bugs, and add new scares. Features may change; this page will change with them.
• We'll never sell your data.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Shreekd is free to download with a monthly limit of free pranks. Shreekd Pro unlocks unlimited pranks, premium scare content, and other perks.

• Subscriptions are auto-renewable and billed through your Apple ID via the App Store.
• You can manage or cancel at any time in Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Free trials (when offered) convert into paid subscriptions unless cancelled at least 24 hours before they end.
• Prices may change. We'll tell you in advance; your existing subscription stays at the old price until its next renewal.

6. User content (the videos you record)

You own the videos Shreekd helps you capture. You're responsible for them — who's in them, who sees them, where they get posted.

The Shreekd watermark that appears on free-tier exports is part of the app's design and free marketing. Removing it by external tools violates these terms.

7. Our content

The app, the scare packs, the UI, the branding, the sounds — that's all ours or licensed to us. Please don't copy it, decompile it, or try to extract the premium scare assets to distribute them. That would make us sad and our lawyers busy.

8. Things we can't promise

Shreekd is provided “as is.” We do our best, but:

• Apple updates can break apps in unpredictable ways.
• We can't guarantee the app is bug-free or that jumpscares will trigger every single time.
• We can't guarantee your prank target's reaction. They might laugh. They might cry. They might curse you in three languages. That's the game.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Shreekd isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. That includes hurt feelings, ruined friendships, spilled drinks, or dropped phones. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — or $20, whichever is larger.

10. Termination

You can stop using Shreekd at any time — delete the app and we're done. We can suspend or terminate your access if you use the app in a way that breaks these terms or hurts other people.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If the changes are material (new restrictions, new billing rules), we'll show an in-app notice. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction where Shreekd is registered, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled there — unless applicable consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise.
